The new Mercedes-AMG GT4 comes with new looks and updates that enhance its endurance racing performance. The car is now more capable in extremely hot conditions. The first models will reach the teams in March, following homologation.

The Mercedes-AMG GT4 holds an impressive career: there are 363 races, 137 podium finishes, 151 class wins and 53 overall wins, record-figures for the model launched in 2018.

More than 120 such units were delivered to Customer Racing Teams all over the world and the new Mercedes-AMG GT4 is scheduled to hit the racetrack this spring if the coronavirus epidemics allows the resuming of racing.

The model comes with optimized brake cooling around the front axle and enhanced engine cooling. With brake components prevented from overheating, the GT4 proves better driveability and reduced wear of brakes.

The new AMG GT4 also gets new head and rear lights, that are now identical to those of the GT3. The new LED high performance headlights provide better illumination of the track in the dark and poor visibility circumstances.

The market launch is scheduled for this month, following the homologation of the moment. After that, teams can place orders. What they must also know is that all the Mercedes-AMG GT4 built so far can be brought to the level of the new homologation, without limitation and any problems.

The engine of the new AMG GT4

The Mercedes GT4 is powered by the company’s 4.0-liter V8 that delivers 476 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque to all four wheels via a sequential AMG 6-speed gearbox with mechanical self-locking differential and magnesium casing. Gears can also be shifted with the help of the paddles mounted on the steering wheel.

The car runs from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h, depending on balance of performance classification.

The price of the model starts at 209,000 Euros.
